Our Facility
Located in historic St. Augustine, Florida, the PGA TOUR Golf Academy at World Golf Village is open to the public and offering a full schedule of 1 to 5 day golf schools, private lesson and player development programs.Designed to provide you with an experience like no other, The Academy enjoys spectacular views of the World Golf Hall of Fame and features a 2,700-square-foot state-of-the-art building complete with all-weather hitting bays and multiple covered tee areas. All of our instruction programs feature highly personalized attention to your unique needs and skill level and include video swing analysis, and comprehensive instruction manual and written game plan for improvement.
Our Technology
Your personal instruction at the PGA TOUR Golf Academy at World Golf Village is complemented by the latest teaching technologies including V1 video analysis. This collection of technology is positioned to enhance the level of play for any golfer.
V1 video analysis allows our instruction staff to diagnose your swing from multiple camera angles as well as compare and contrast your swing mechanics on a split screen with many of the best golfers in the world. Each instructional experience will be recorded with instructional voice-overs and either copied to a CD or sent to your own personal on-line account. These resources are great for long term progression and provide inspiration after you leave the academy.
Instructional Staff
Our Head Instructor: Travis Fulton
Travis Fulton is the Director of Education for all TOUR Academy facilities and is the Head Instructor for the PGA TOUR Golf Academy at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, FL. Before joining our staff, his professional career has included teaching positions in Arizona, New York and Massachusetts. Fulton has been with the PGA TOUR Academy since it first opened and has played a key role in the design and execution of the instruction formats and staff training. He is currently a contributing writer for PGATOUR.com, Golf Illustrated and PGA TOUR Partners Magazine. Travis is also a weekly featured guest on the PGA TOUR Network on XM radio.
Fulton has taught alongside numerous GOLF Magazine TOP 100 instructors including Scott Sackett, Todd Sones, Craig Shankland, Martin Hall and Chuck Evans. As Director of Education for all TOUR Academies, Fulton oversees the instruction philosophy, the implementation of all training programs and research and development efforts that allow the academy to create more effective instructional programs.
Raised in Kellogg ,Idaho, Travis competed at Lewis & Clark State College. In 1998, Fulton won the Pacific Northwest Athletic Conference and was a national competitor in the NAIA National Championships.
