About the TOUR Academy

Our Facilities

The TOUR Academy TPC Scottsdale opened to the public in 2007. With its combination of an excellent PGA teaching staff and unmatched location in the Sonoran Desert this facility has long been a popular learning destination to members of TPC Network clubs from around the country.

Contrasting the intensity of the Academy's training regiment, the surrounding desert offers students the opportunity to experience the best of what this unique locale has to offer, whether it is five-star dining in downtown Scottsdale or an evening spent relaxing at the Willow Stream Spa after a long day at golf school.

Our Technology

Your personal instruction at the TOUR Academy TPC Scottsdale is complemented by the latest teaching technologies including comparative video analysis. This allows us to compare and contrast your swing mechanics on a split screen with many of the best golfers in the world to speed your understanding of how to improve your game.

Each of your videoed sessions will be recorded along with instructional voice-overs to act as an ongoing source for guidance and inspiration after you leave the academy.

Our Philosophy

The instructors at the TOUR Academy believe that a commitment to a strong education in the game's core fundamentals is at the heart of all improvement for our students. Through a comprehensive education, you will leave the academy with the tools necessary to continue to improve your game long after your time with us. This is a direct result of the detailed information we provide to you in our four Cornerstones of Improvement:

  • Swing Instruction
  • Club fitting
  • Fitness
  • Mental Coaching

These cornerstones for all of our programs are directly supported by and based on the following attributes:

  • How the best players in the world perform on the PGA TOUR.
  • The irrefutable laws of physics and geometry.
  • The biomechanical implications of golf-specific motion.

Our goal is to continue to learn from the best players in the world who compete every week on the PGA TOUR. These players are the best at what they do and their methods will support the techniques promoted in our instructional programs. These techniques will also be supported by the laws of physics and geometry and will be proven to be biomechanically sound.

Our instructors deliver this information through a “building block approach" that is complete, easy to understand and builds upon itself in a logical progression. Once you have been given these building blocks you will have a template that will allow you to reach your potential as a golfer.
