Our Instruction Staff
Each PGA TOUR Golf Academy Instructor is a carefully selected career-teaching professional certified to the exacting standards of the PGA TOUR Golf Academy brand. Certification requires a commitment to the “Standards of Excellence” and a demonstrated level of expertise in instruction, fitness, and club fitting.
- Anne Cain, Master Instructor
Anne Cain began playing competitive golf at 13, and by age 15 was ranked among the top 3 female juniors in the country. An All-American at the University of Georgia, Anne captured several individual titles her senior year, including the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship. She ranked #11 nationally and #1 in the Eastern United States. In addition, Anne qualified for the 1989 U.S. Women’s Open as an amateur at age 21.
Cain played professionally from 1991-’96 and captured two professional titles before setting her sights on a teaching career. After joining the LPGA Teaching & Club Professional Division in 1995, Anne began a mission to become a world-class instructor. She has personally studied with many of the games’ leading experts and has guided over a dozen Tour players and collegiate competitors, including the NCAA Female Player of the Year and an LPGA major champion.
Anne is recognized by GOLF Magazine as one of the Top 100 Teachers in America and is ranked by her peers in the Golf Digest list of Best Teachers in Your State (Florida). In addition, she was the first LPGA instructor to become an authorized instructor of The Golfing Machine.
- Jason Fenstermaker, Sr. Certified Instructor & Club Fitting Manager
Jason Fenstermaker is PGA member. He graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing/ Professional Golf Management Program.
Jason is the Operations Managers for the PGA Tour Academy at the World Golf Village. Along with teaching, Jason is the full time club fitter at this location and also oversees club fitting at several other properties. His personal teaching style focuses on all aspects of the golf swing, helping each student reach his or her goals. He enjoys working with all ages and skill levels.
- Neil Gunn, Sr. Certified Instructor
Prior to working with the PGA TOUR Golf Academy, Gunn was the Lead Golf School Instructor for PGA of America’s Golf Academy in Port St. Lucie, Florida. During his time at these facilities, Gunn worked with top instructors in the industry such as Rick Martino, Eric Johnson, Kevin Compare and Scott Sackett. Neil has spent the past five summers teaching in Lake Tahoe at Incline Village where he had his own Academy teaching his own programs from Junior Camps, Clinics, Schools, Get Golf Ready and Private Instruction.
Gunn grew up in Toronto, Canada playing golf at an early age. He attended Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. Gunn has participated in several section events in Florida that resulted in several top 10 finishes and one win. Gunn has an impressive lowest competitive round of 66 on The King & Bear golf course in St. Augustine, Florida. He has been a PGA Member since 2000.
- Rhonda Ferguson, Sr. Certified Instructor
Rhonda was an outstanding Junior, Collegiate and Amateur golfer before turning Professional in 2010. Before turning professional, she qualified for several USGA events and previously has won several State Amateur Championships. Rhonda was a top-ranked Amateur in the state of Florida, where she represented the State in several team competitions. Rhonda also lettered on the University of Florida Women’s Golf team. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
Rhonda is a Class A PGA/LPGA Professional, as well as a US Kid’s Certified Coach. She currently serves as the U.S. Kid’s Golf Jacksonville Local Tour Director and specializes in working with women and juniors. A few player development programs that have been implemented into her teaching include: LPGA/USGA Girls Golf, Get Golf Ready, PGA Junior League and PGA Sports Academy.
In 2016, Rhonda received the PGA Northern Chapter and North Florida Section Youth Player Development Award. In 2017, Rhonda received the PGA Northern Chapter Player Development Award, as well as US Kid’s Golf Top 50 Honorable Mention Junior Instructor.
Rhonda has been a contributing guest on the podcast “Next on the Tee with Chris Mascaro” on several occasions and has been a contributing writer to PGA magazine’s Best Practices on multiple occasions.
Through her passion to help those attain the highest level of skill their golf game will allow, Rhonda has developed a simple, fun and creative approach to learning the game. Her goal is to make the game accessible to all those that are interested and to make it a game that can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
